Santry
On Thursday 21st May we made our annual trip to Morton Stadium, Santry for the Cumann na mBunscoil Dublin schools athletics. Our 5th and 6th class teams, along with the boys teams from Scoil Assaim headed off on the bus early and arrived in time for our lap of honour with hundreds of children from around the county. We entered the shot putt, long jump, high jump, race of champions, 80m sprint, 600m and 4x100m relays. The competition was, as always, fierce, and while we didn’t make it out of the heats all our girls finished with 3rd or 4th place. Well done to all….special mention to Leia Keogh, who brought home gold for the long jump and Daisy for her placing in the race of champions. Three cheers for:
5th class: Sophie, Julieanne, Alice, Sophia, Winnie, Joanie, Daisy, Phoebe, Jane
6th class: Lilly, Meeraba, Leia, Charlotte, Alex, Fiadh, Ruby
HUGE go raibh míle maith agat for our parent coach Louise Keogh, who has given our school so much of her time in helping us with Athletics.
