Creative Schools Week
We celebrated Creative Schools week from the 23rd - 27th March.
There was a QR trail around the school for the classes to complete. Each class level went on a different trip and there were workshops held throughout the week too. Have a look and see what each class grouping got up to below!
2nd Class
2nd class were lucky enough to visit Marino Institute of Education where they had an Art and Dance workshop.
2nd Class created hexagon nature pictures and finished them off by making modelling clay insects on their tour.
3rd Class
3rd Class took a trip to the Print Museum where they learned about the history of printing in Ireland and were able to create their own art work!

3rd Class created amazing colourful 3D paper sculptures which were hung around the school.
4th Class
4th Class took a trip into Trinity College to see the Book of Kells.

They were able to see the Book of Kells in person, visited the Old Library and had the opportunity to explore the history through the Book of Kells Experience.
4th Class had the opportunity to work with sculptures by making wire sculptures using wire, beads and pasta.
5th Class
5th class had a self guided tour around Collins Barracks.

They made lovely bracelets in the bracelet making workshop and created other fantastic art pieces throughout the week.
6th Class
6th Class went to visit the National Art Gallery and had a lovely picnic in Merrion Square!

They also explored the Japanese art of Origami.
